Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he was Associate Professor at the University of Insubria, Department of Biotechnology and Life Sciences in Varese, Italy. He has been Director of Microsurgery and Surgery of the Lymphatic’s Research Center and Chief of Microsurgery and Hand Surgery Unit at the A.S.S.T. Settelaghi Varese, ITA from 2017-2021. In 2014 he obtained the title of Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). He was the International Scholar of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS/PSF program) for 2019-2020, at the Presbyterial Hospital of the NYU in New York City. He is an Alumni of Harvard Medical School. In 2022 he was President of the 60th Conference of the Italian Society of Hand Surgery (SICM). He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
